Kristen Pierce-Sherrod, was the daughter of the Chicago restaurant chain's founder, Harold Pierce. She assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer following her father's death.
She and her husband also a co-founded the Chicago Children Equestrian Center, according to the organization's website.
Her passing was announced on social media in a post that said, “On behalf of Harold’s Chicken Corporate and The Chicago Children Equestrian Center, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our Chief Executive Officer, Kristen D. Pierce-Sherrod. The family extends their sincere gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and condolences. At this time we kindly ask that their privacy be respected during this time of bereavement. Arrangements will be announced at a later date.”
Kristen Pierce-Sherrod was 55 years old.
