Every state lawmaker is being asked to self-quarantine today, the final day of the legislative session.
The chief of staff to new Illinois House Speaker Chris Welch, D-Hillside, said in an email someone working at the Bank Of Springfield Center tested positive for COVID-19.
Lawmakers have been meeting at Springfield's downtown convention center to allow for social distancing during the pandemic.
The Legislature is not expected to be back in Springfield until next month.
