(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A lawsuit against Conagra Brands is claiming some of their fish products are not actually 100% fish.
The Chicago-based company is accused of misleading customers into believing two of its products are 100% whole fish.
The complaint says the products are pumped with an industrial filler that's also in manufactured items such as rubber and paint that artificially increases the weight of the fish.
The lawsuit seeks $5 million in damages for false advertising and misleading consumers.
The lawsuit says the filler is in the company's popular frozen fish brands Van de Kamp’s and Ms. Paul’s.
