CLARENDON HILLS (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Voters in Clarendon Hills said yes to saving their Park District pool.

An overwhelming majority, 70%, voted in favor of an $8 million referendum for upgrades to the Lions Park Pool. Their taxes will be going up as a result.

According to the park district, the owner of a $500,000 home will pay an extra $200.

The pool would have been closed had the referendum failed.
