CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A west suburban-based company donated $600,000 in air purifiers to an area of the Pacific Northwest hit hardest by smoke from wildfires.

Instant Brands sent three semi-trucks full of its new AP300 air purifiers to Winthrop Washington last week.

The Washington Post reported the donation of two thousand air purifiers came after the Downers Grove-based company heard about the town’s worst in the country air quality because of wild fires.

An Instate Brand marketing executive said watching the distribution, “We’re all connected even 2,000 miles away.”

A woman running a local clean air group said she broke down in tears when she heard about the donation.
