CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — While young children still await federal approval for COVID-19 vaccines, residents of a senior living facility in north suburban Glenview received booster shots on Wednesday.
Judy Lovell hasn’t slowed down after getting her Pfizer COVID-19 booster.
She’ll turn 81 Saturday and doesn’t anticipate any reaction to the shot since she didn’t have any adverse effects to the first two.
“As long as I feel good, I’ll still be out in the about. I’m too social to stay in the room all day,” Lovell told WBBM Newsradio
Lovell said she’s been at Belmont Village for over a year.
The facility’s executive director Michelle Helffrich said they administered Pfizer COVID-19 boosters and are making plans for Moderna COVID-19 boosters.
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer it to residents and staff. COVID still exists and we need to continue to be vigilant and take whatever precautions necessary to keep everyone in our community safe,” Helffrich said.
