
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A search is on for gunmen after two people were shot in separate incidents on Chicago's South last night and early this morning.
Chicago police say the first shooting happened near Saint Lawrence Avenue and Marquette Road in the Woodlawn neighborhood, at around 8 p.m.
A 56-year-old man was sitting in the front room of a home when he was hit by gunfire from outside. He was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital for treatment.
The second happened just before 3 a.m.in the 800 block of East 63rd Street. Police said a 17-year-old boy was walking when he was hit by gunfire twice in the leg and in the back.
He was taken to the hospital in fair condition.
No one in custody either case. Area One Detectives are investigating.
