ROUND LAKE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police in north suburban Round Lake are asking the public’s assistance in finding a man wanted for trying to lure children into his car.
Monday, the department released a sketch of the suspect and a surveillance image of the vehicle believed to be involved.
According to two reports filed with police, last Tuesday, Jan. 23, at about 6:50 a.m., the suspect confronted a group of kids on MacGillis Drive between Whispering Oaks Lane and Treehouse Lane.
The suspect was described as 5-foot-2 tall, slenderly built with a short chin beard. Police also said the man spoke with a slight Spanish accent.
The suspect, police said, was driving a newish gray Toyota Sienna XLE Hybrid, estimated to be between 2021 and 2024 model year.

Round Lake Police will increase the number of officer patrols in the subdivisions during school bus pick ups and drop offs.
