CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago Police have released more information about a vehicle wanted for an attempted child luring case on the West Side.

It was a black GMC, newer model pickup truck that police said a man was driving when he allegedly told some children to “come here” on Tuesday of last week, July 30. That’s according to a community alert from the 11th District, which said the kids were walking home from Clark John Park near Jackson and Kenton in Austin at about 7:30 p.m.

They ran home instead.

Police said the same man and truck were seen the following day near the park but did not interact with children.

Police describe him as 35 to 45-years-old with a goatee and said the truck had black rims and a black cab cover.

If you’ve seen this vehicle, police ask you to call 9-1-1 immediately and provide a location, including any vehicle description and license plate information.
