Man arrested after shoving guard down CTA Red Line station stairs: CPD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police have arrested a man who allegedly pushed someone down the stairs at a CTA station early Monday morning.

Police say it happened at the Grand Red Line Station just before 2:30 a.m.

A man was reportedly trying to jump the turnstile and then pushed a security guard down two flights of stairs.

The man is in custody.

Police said the guard was not injured.
