CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A Chicago man was arrested Tuesday morning for alleged attempted mail theft in the West Loop.
Police said Richard Thompson, 51 was caught trying to steal from a USPS collection box near the intersection of W. Adams St. and South Racine Avenue.
He was arrested in the early hours of the morning for theft from a USPS collection box and possession of a USPS key. According to police, Thompson was arrested at the scene without incident.
