CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A 25-year-old Chicago man is charged with a carjacking in January that left another man seriously injured.

He’s identified as Darnell Ingram of the 6600 block of South St. Lawrence.

Police said an armed Ingram forced a 45-year-old man out of a vehicle on the 500 block of East 71st Street, a few blocks from his home on January 28.

The victim was hit by a passing vehicle and was seriously injured. Ingram, according to police, took off in the man’s car.

He was arrested more than two weeks later by members of the Vehicular Hijacking Task Force.

Ingram is charged with three felonies: Aggravated vehicular hijacking, burglary and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
