(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A man has been charged with murder in a shooting that killed a doctor in far northwest suburban Barrington this past weekend.
William Zientek, 46, is charged with first degree murder in the shooting that killed 42-year-old Dr. Olga Duchon.
The shooting happened in a home on the 400 block of West Russell Street in Barrington on Sunday. The Lake County Coroner's Office said Duchon of Vernon Hills died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Barrington Police had earlier referred to the shooting as domestic.
The shooting happened the same day Dr. Duchon was the featured speaker at a discussion with the Ukrainian Medical Association.
