JOLIET (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A man is accused of stabbing his former girlfriend's new boyfriend outside a Joliet laundromat.
Joliet Police responded to Rt 30 Laundromat at 905 Plainfield Road, at about 12:45 p.m. Saturday, for a report that someone had been stabbed.
Police saw a man in the laundromat parking lot holding a knife, told him to drop it, he did and was taken into custody.
Police said the man, 26-year-old Oscar Nicolas Alonso Ortiz, is alleged to have had a prior romantic relationship with the victim's girlfriend.
The victim, an 18-year-old man, was hospitalized with a non-life threatening stab wound to the chest.
Alonso Ortiz is charged with aggravated battery and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
