CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A Lincoln Park man has been charged with murder in the case of a shooting the day before Thanksgiving.
John Conway, 35, lives about three miles from where Alexander Nesteruk was shot and killed.
Chicago Police said Conway turned himself in very early two days ago.
He’s due in court Friday for a detention hearing on one felony count of first degree murder.
Witnesses said Nesteruk was walking around the area of Clark and Fullerton most of the day on Nov. 27, threatening pedestrians and behaving erratically.
At around 4 p.m., they said the 34-year-old Wheaton man encountered a man who shot him and walked away.
