CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A Chicago man has been convicted of damaging reproductive health services facilities back in 2021, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

Prosecutors say Michael Barron, 42 used a sling shot and metal ball bearings to damage two facilities in Chicago on six occasions in May and June of 2021.

He was convicted on all six counts of intentionally damaging the two facilities because of their purpose of providing reproductive health services. One of the facilities was a Planned Parenthood Health Center.

Barron faces up to one year in prison for each count of conviction. His sentencing is scheduled for July 9.
