CHICAGO (WBBM Newsradio) – A woman was taken into custody after a 59-year-old man was cut multiple times during an altercation late Sunday in Chicago’s Lawndale neighborhood.
The man was involved in a verbal and physical confrontation with a woman he knew near Flournoy Street and California Avenue around 11:35 p.m., authorities said.
During the fight, the man suffered multiple cuts to his body. He later went to the 500 block of South California Avenue, where responding officers and Chicago Fire Department personnel assisted him.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition.
The woman was taken into custody. Charges were pending Monday morning.
Area Four detectives are investigating.
