Man dies in West Englewood house fire

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A man has died after suffering from cardiac arrest during a house fire in West Englewood.

The 52-year-old man was found in the rear bedroom of the home located in the 5900 block of South Bishop Street, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
