(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A former nurse faces federal charges of harassment and cyber-stalking.

The FBI arrested Kevin Cruz, 32 of Oak Park Wednesday and charged him with sending electronic communications with the intent to harass and intimidate.

Cruz is accused of doing just that to a man he met on the dating app --- Grinder, allegedly posting nude photos of the victim on line, and setting up phony profiles that had hundreds of men going to the victim's home for sex.

Prosecutors add, when an internal review by Rush University Medical Center led to Cruz's firing last year, he turned his sights on the lead investigator-allegedly sending her repeated and unwanted messages in which he made reference to being a danger to himself and possibly others.

Court records show the former nurse has a lengthy history of alleged stalking.

Cruz's attorney told the Chicago Tribune the allegations were one-sided and “other evidence will come to light."

He is being held without bond, pending a detention hearing Monday.
