CHICAGO (WBBM Newsradio) – A 29-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday night after an argument turned physical in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
The shooting happened around 10 p.m. near 61st Street and Campbell Avenue.
The man was standing outside with three other men when a verbal altercation escalated into a physical confrontation. During the dispute, one of the men pulled out a gun and fired at the victim.
The three men fled in an unknown direction.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to Christ Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
No arrests have been announced.
Area One detectives are investigating.
