A man was fatally shot during an argument early Saturday in Austin on the West Side.
The man, 24, was walking on the sidewalk in the 5000 block of West Quincy Street when he was approached by a male suspect and began arguing around 1 a.m., Chicago police said.
The argument turned into a physical altercation, and the male suspect pulled out a gun and opened fire, police said.
The 24-year-old was struck in the chest and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. His name hasn't been released.
No arrests were made.
