A Cook County man was sentenced to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to gunrunning charges.

Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul's office said 36-year-old Reynaldo Gomez of Maywood sold stolen firearms in DuPage and Cook counties.

Raoul's office said Gomez and his partner Jose Ibarra met with an undercover agent at a Home Depot parking lot in February to sell seven firearms. Gomez pleaded guilty to felony counts of unlawful sale or delivery of firearms and was sentenced to 18 years. Ibarra was sentenced last year to eight years behind bars.
