Man shot inside NW suburban motel, police say
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police in Arlington Heights are looking for four people involved in a shooting at a hotel Friday night.
Police and EMS were called to the Red Roof Inn on Algonquin Road at about 11:30 p.m. A man "entered the lobby bleeding profusely from a gunshot wound," according to police.
It was determined that several people knocked on the door of a second floor room and confronted two sleeping occupants.
A man exited the room and was shot by one of them. He then ran to the lobby seeking help.
The second person also went to the lobby.
An employee called 911.
Officers from neighboring departments were called to assist in clearing the scene and securing what police said was a large crime scene.
They say four people left the hotel in a white sedan. They were talking to witnesses and reviewing digital and physical evidence.
The man who was shot was reported to be in stable condition.
