Man wounded at South Side CTA Red Line station as argument leads to gunfire: Police

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - An argument turned into a shooting at a South Side CTA Red Line station Saturday night.

The shooting left a man injured. A witness told police it happened at around 10:40 p.m. at the Garfield Red Line Station, on the mezzanine level. A 40-year-old man pulled out a knife while arguing with another man, police said.

That's when police said the second man took out a handgun and shot the 40-year-old man in the right shoulder

The victim was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center and listed in fair condition.

No one is in custody. Area One detectives are investigating.
