(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A man was shot Thursday on the Southwest Side while sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot at Ford City Mall.
He was in the vehicle about 3 p.m. in the 7600 block of South Cicero Avenue when someone opened fire, striking him in the neck, Chicago police said.
The 40-year-old was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in fair condition, police said.
Area One detectives are investigating.
