(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A 37-year-old man was shot near the Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago Monday afternoon, police said.
The man was near the sidewalk in the 500 block of North Rush Street when someone shot him in the abdomen and thigh, officials said.
The victim was transported to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition.
Media reports said the shooting victim at one point ended up in the lobby of a hotel along North Michigan Avenue.
No arrests were reported.
