Man, woman found shot inside South Shore apartment building, police say

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Two people were hurt in a shooting in a South Side apartment building early Wednesday morning.

A 64-year-old man and a woman were taken to the hospital in good condition after the shooting that happened near 75th and Kingston in the South Shore neighborhood.

Chicago Police said just after 3 a.m the man was inside an apartment when shots were fired from an upstairs apartment. He was shot in the left elbow.

Officers said they later found the woman shot in the upstairs apartment. She was shot in her right hand, according to police. She was not cooperating with officers.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
