Marengo man charged for stabbing someone in the face

MARENGO, IL (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A McHenry County man has been charged with stabbing someone in the face.

36-year-old Benjamin Boss of Marengo is charged with three counts of aggravated battery after police said he stabbed another man in the face Monday afternoon.


It happened in the 400 block of Maple Street in Marengo.

Officials said a man was found with a serious, but non-life threatening stab wound and taken to Northwestern Huntley Hospital.

Boss was later arrested at his home at 620 E. Grant Hwy.

The felony charges include aggravated battery in a public place, use of a weapon and disfigurement. He is also charged with unlawful use of a weapon.

It's unclear what led to the altercation, but the Marengo Police Department said they're still investigating.
