CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Bears coach Matt Nagy will miss his team’s game against the 49ers on Sunday at Soldier Field as he remains in COVID-19 protocol.
Special teams coordinator Chris Tabor will serve as the Bears’ acting head coach with Nagy absent. Nagy tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday morning and has been in isolation since.

He has participated in team meetings virtually but won’t be allowed to have any such contact with the Bears while they play Sunday.
Nagy, who’s vaccinated, needs two consecutive negative tests to be cleared to return. Kickoff between the Bears (3-4) and 49ers (2-4) is set for noon on Sunday.
