Police seek suspect after Metra conductor is robbed at gunpoint

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Police with the Metra rail agency are looking for the gunman who robbed a conductor Tuesday afternoon in downtown Chicago.

The suspect was a passenger on a Metra Electric Line train that pulled into the Van Buren Street Station around 2 p.m., police said. He pulled a gun and stole the cash on the conductor before fleeing on foot, police said.

Metra Police determined the suspect had boarded the train at the 147th Street Station in Harvey.
