CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Metra has restored service on its Union Pacific North Line following a pedestrian accident on the city’s North Side.
Both inbound and outbound trains are moving, but riders may experience extensive delays, Metra said in a X post.
According to the transit agency, the pedestrian was struck in the 6 a.m. hour by an outbound train near the Clybourn Station, at Ashland and Armitage.
It’s not yet known the extent of the pedestrian’s injuries or why they were on the tracks.
As a result of the accident, all UP North Line trains were stopped for more than an hour during the morning commute.
