(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Summer festival season continues in Chicago, and there are plenty to choose from this weekend.

WBBM Newsradio’s Rachel Pierson has some highlights:

—Taste the traditions of Mexico and Central America during the Tacos and Tamales Festival.

Hosted in Pilsen, the three-day food fest offers — you guessed it — tacos and tamales from some of Chicago's best restaurants.

—The savory celebrations don't end there. Head to Roscoe Village for the annual Burger Fest. More than a dozen local eateries will offer up their grilled creations in hopes of earning top awards.

—The Chicago Shakespeare Theater kicks off its free summer pop-up performances this weekend. “ShakesFest: A Chicago Shakespeare Community Cabaret” offers a musical revue of songs inspired by the bard. Performances will be held at six Chicago Park District parks.

—You’ll find everything from paintings and ceramics to photography and furniture at the Millennium Art Festival. More than 120 artists will display their works during the three-day event along Lake Street in the Loop.

—Head to the south suburbs for the Tinley Park Block Party. Located at the Oak Park Avenue Train Station Lot, the two-day event features live music, rides, food and plenty of family fun.

—How about a beer or two at a west suburban zoo? Enjoy a night under the stars Saturday during Brew at the Zoo at Randall Oaks Zoo in West Dundee. The event includes food trucks, raffles and of course, a tour of the zoo.

—And your kids will be bubbling with excitement at Wonder Works Children's Museum in Oak Park. The two-day outdoor Bubble Works festival celebrates the magic and science of bubbles in all shapes and sizes.
