VIDEO: Mini bus driver charged with DUI after plowing into Wrigleyville pedicab last weekend

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police have caught the man who reportedly ran over a cyclist riding a pedicab in Wrigleyville after a concert last weekend.

Police said 40-year-old Bryan Rollins of Berkely, California is facing two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol after a Dead and Company concert around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Pedicab operator Sarah Yopp told CBS-2 that, after hitting her with his minibus, Rollins didn't stop.

"He said,  'sorry.' He mouthed , 'sorry,' before he completely…just no disregard for my body. I was like, ‘there's no way this guy is gonna hit me,’" Yopp said.

Rollins was also issued traffic tickets for driving without insurance, but, Yopp said,  he should've faced harsher charges.

"These are not ticket offenses…I'm someone's daughter, I'm someone's friend, I'm someone's sister. I matter. Just ‘cause I ride a bike, I'm a professional. If I was even like a foot up more forward than I was, I would've died," Yopp said.

Yopp said she was left bruised and mentally shaken by the incident.

Her sister has set up a GoFundMe to help pay for her medical bills and pedicab repairs.
