--Those who are young and young at heart can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Sloomoo Institute. Chicago's recently opened immersive slime experience is celebrating the holiday by hiding golden coins in the many artisanal slime vats. Find a coin and get a special slimy reward!
--If you like boozy races, then the Schaumburg Shamrock Beer Run and BrewFest is just for you. The party-style 5K offers craft beer before and after the race Saturday afternoon. Want to skip the physical activity? Head straight for the hops during BrewFest hosted at Busse Woods.
--Who said Easter eggs were just for kids? The Elmhurst Park District is hosting an adults-only egg hunt. Bring your own basket to Wilder Park Saturday morning and search for amazing prizes including gift cards from Elmhurst Brewing Company and a $500 cash prize.
