CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The US Drug Enforcement Agency has tallied the deadly fentanyl it seized last year and calculated the number of people it could have killed.

More than 730,000 fentanyl-laced fake prescription pills and nearly 550 pounds of fentanyl powder were seized throughout Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.

That's enough to kill about $20 million people. Nationally, the agency said it seized more than $50 million pills and 10,000 pounds of powder, which is enough to kill 380 million people.
