(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Police in suburban Tinley Park say road rage led to an altercation that ended in the death of a 59-year-old New Lenox man.
The incident began around 5:30 p.m. Sunday when Frank Stiso and another motorist, 24-year-old Jacob Bean of Tinley Park, nearly collided in their respective vehicles on Brookside Glen Drive.
After the two exited their vehicles, Bean shoved Stiso to the pavement, Police Chief Matthew Walsh told WBBM Newsradio.
Stiso suffered a head injury and later died at a hospital.
Bean is now charged with aggravated battery, although he claims he was defending himself, officials said.
Will County prosecutors are reviewing the case to determine if Bean will face additional charges.
