(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A followup now on someone we told you about almost a year ago: a west suburban musician who helped struggling restaurant and bar workers during the worst of the pandemic.
Bradley Hides has been back, playing in public venues for almost a year now.
When everybody was on lockdown, he live-streamed about a dozen shows from home and donated the tips to restaurant and bar workers.
Since he’s been back at it, Hides says he’s gotten a warm welcome from those same workers.
“People saying, ‘Hey, I know what you did and I appreciate it, and it’s just good to see you back,’” he says. “It just feels good, all around.”
Hides said opportunities are opening more and more, for solo musicians like him and for bands.
