(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- One of America's foremost violinists will be performing at Millennium Park next week.
Stefan Jackiw will appear with the Grant Park Orchestra June 28 at Pritzker Pavilion to play Beethoven's Violin Concerto, which he calls "the Mount Everest of the violin repertoire."
"I think the piece is so popular because it has a profoundly searching quality – looking for some sort of meaning or overcoming some sort of obstacles that seem in its path. There's sort of this life's journey aspect to it," he tells WBBM Newsradio.
This will be Jackiw's second time playing in Grant Park.
