NAPERVILLE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A lightning strike caused a house fire in Naperville Tuesday afternoon.

The fire department reported the owner of a home on the 1400 block of Larsen Lane called 9-1-1 just after 3 p.m. saying the attached garage was struck by lightning and was on fire.

When firefighters arrived seven minutes later, they found fire coming through the garage roof, with flames extending into the living space above.

The homeowner was outside.
