NAPERVILLE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police in Naperville say they have questioned one teen as a person of interest in connection with the shooting of another teen Monday night.

Police Commander Rick Krakow said it began when two 18-year-old males from Naperville had a dispute in the 100 block of Testa Drive.

Krakow said when officers arrived at the scene, they found one of the teens wounded in a grassy area and then took the other teen into custody.

“Officers established a perimeter and located a person of interest, an 18-year-old male from Naperville,” Krakow said. “A preliminary investigation indicates the two men involved in the dispute knew each other and that this was not a random act of violence.”

Krakow said the wounded teen was taken to a hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
