Naperville restaurant named one of the most romantic in the country

A Naperville restaurant has been named one of the most romantic in the country.

Meson Sabika made OpenTable's recent roundup of the 100 most romantic restaurant throughout the United States - and was the only Illinois spot on the list.

OpenTable compiled the roundup by combing through dining reviews made by 12.4 million people between Jan. 1, 2021, and Dec. 31, 2021. The analysis included each eatery's total number of reviews, along with its overall dining rating and regional rating.

In its overview of Meson Sabika, OpenTable writes, "Whether you dine in one of the mansion's eight dining rooms decorated in traditional Spanish decor, attend a wedding or corporate event in the pavilion, or sit out back on the patio, the cuisine of Spain and delicious drinks make for an unparalleled dining experience."

Meson Sabika is housed in a mansion that was built in 1847 on a four-acre estate. Even before OpenTable's recent roundup, the restaurant's list of accolades was extensive. In 2021, they were named among the nation's top wedding venues by The Knot. A 2019 roundup by OpenTable ranked Meson Sabika among the top 50 places in the United States to have a date.
