(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The resurfacing of DuSable Lake Shore Drive (DLSD) on the North Side continues this week.
The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) has provided an update to their roadwork plan along DLSD, announcing both partial and full closures until overnight Thursday, Sept. 19.
CDOT urges drivers to plan ahead and allow for extra time in their trips. CDOT also asks drivers to look out for flaggers and construction signage when entering and approaching work zones.
Here is the roadwork schedule for this week:
Thursday, Sept. 19:
- At 7 p.m., southbound DLSD will be reduced to two lanes between Belmont Avenue and LaSalle Drive.
- At 10:30 p.m., all southbound lanes will be closed between Belmont and LaSalle Drive. Traffic will be diverted at Belmont.
- By 6 a.m. Friday, all lanes will reopen.
CDOT says all work is scheduled to be done by late October.
