CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago police have shut down the Portage Park bar three people were shot and killed outside of on Sunday.
Police say Vera's Lounge at North Central Avenue must remain closed until further notice, because it poses a threat to public safety due to the shooting.
The bar's owners can now ask for a probable cause hearing to determine wheter the club is a public safety risk and should remain closed.
Samuel Parsons-Salas, 32 shot four people, killing three of them Sunday after a fight started inside the club that spilled onto the street outside.
He was charged with three counts of first-degree murder and additional counts of attempted murder and kidnapping.
