Northwestern Medicine is expanding options for cardiovascular patients in the northern suburbs in a move that reflects changes in commuting patterns.
Dr. Karin Ulstrup, medical director at the Glenview Outpatient Center, says they’re expanding clinical space in the building at Willow and Patriot that opened in 2013.
She tells WBBM they’re offering options for people who live in the area or those who don’t want to go downtown or to Lake Forest.
Dr. Ulstrup says the third floor was designed with patients in mind, showing easy views of the reception desks and the suburban skyline.
There's a cell phone charging station in the waiting room and sunny work stations for physicians and staff.
Starting March 10th, Northwestern will see patients there for cardiovascular exams and testing, infusions for non-cancer patients and treatment for those with wounds that are complex or taking a long time to heal.
