EVANSTON (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Actress and alumna Kathryn Hahn will be the commencement speaker at Northwestern’s graduation ceremony this year.
Calling herself their “college doula into the next chapter of their lives," Kathryn Hahn told Northwestern’s senior class about her new role in a surprise video shared at their formal Saturday night.
The class of ’95 graduate and comedic actress also shared the news on social media.
“I’m so excited, I’m so flattered,” Hahn said in a video. “We have so much to celebrate, and I want you all to be really, really hydrated because I have a lot to say, and it’s going to be, I’d say a good three to four hours. Tell your parents.”
Graduation will be held at the United Center on June 9.
Hahn was born in Westchester, Illinois and has made audiences laugh with her roles in “Wandavision,” “Parks and Recreation,” and the “Bad Moms” movies.
She met her husband, fellow actor Ethan Sandler, during their freshman year at Northwestern.
