OAK LAWN (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Armed robbers targeted a cell phone store in Oak Lawn Monday night.
It happened at about 9 p.m. at an AT&T store at 95th Street and Cook Avenue, in the Prairie Town Shopping Center. The store had been closed for about an hour at the time.
According to police, two male suspects wearing masks robbed the store at gunpoint. It’s unclear how they got in.
The employees were reportedly restrained with zip ties. The two then sped away in a dark colored SUV that was pursued by police into Chicago.
They were last seen near 119th Street and Eggleston, in the West Pullman neighborhood, where they abandoned the SUV and ran.
