One killed, 3 wounded after car crash near O'Hare

ROSEMONT, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- One man was killed and three others were hurt Thursday night in a car crash near O’Hare Airport.

Chicago police said the crash happened when a gray Honda Civic ran a red light and tried turning left on Mannheim Road near Irving Park Road. The Honda was hit by a number of cars.

A 30-year old passenger in the Honda was taken to Lutheran General Hospital where he died. The 59-year old driver had serious injuries. A three-year old boy and a man from another car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police said tickets have been issued as detectives continue to investigate.
