(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Jennifer Stroud, 41 is charged with involuntary manslaughter and endangering the life of a child after her 11 -year- old son Jason died in 2016.
Lake County State's Attorney's office told the Daily Herald that Stroud allegedly failed to take her son to regular hospital visits after a heart transplant and didn't give him daily medication to prevent his body from rejecting the new heart.
Her husband David Stroud pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in 2019 and was sentenced to five years in prison.
