
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Two staff members at a South Side hospital are being treated for injuries after a patient stabbed them this afternoon.
A spokesperson from Cook County Health confirmed that a patient injured two workers in the emergency room at Provident Hospital in Washington Park around 1 p.m. on Monday.
One of the victims was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center for treatment of a chest wound. They say the two who were injured are in stable condition.
Police took a suspect into custody.
