(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — An 18-year-old woman was killed Saturday after a crash in suburban Grayslake.

Grayslake police said a collision between a Ford Escape and a Ford F-350, which was pulling a trailer, sent the pickup truck off the road — where it hit the woman, who was standing on the sidewalk.

It happened at around 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of Washington Street and Atkinson Road, near the Rollins Savanna Forest Preserve.

The 18-year-old died at the hospital.

Injuries to the drivers were not life-threatening.

The Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team is helping Grayslake police with its investigation.
